THE VESSEL AND THE ANOINTING

The Vessel and The Anointing
“And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles and be spilled and the bottle shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles and both are preserved”. (Luke 5:36 – 38).
New wine represents the anointing of the Holy Spirit and (vessel) wine bottle is the saints. When a man pours new wine into old wine skin, the old wine bottle breaks because the new wine is still fermenting and increasing in volume but the old wine bottle has reached its elastic limit. So, while the new win in the old bottle keeps expanding, the wine bottle can expound no further and therefore breaks and both the bottle and wine are lost. That is why Jesus said that to preserve both wine and bottle, new wine must be put in a new wine bottle.
It is impossible to talk about signs and wonders without talking about the anointing. But as powerful as the anointing of the Holy Ghost is, it only produces for the consecrated; it only works for the pure. God cannot anoint us beyond our level of consecration. He must allow you to attain a certain level of consecration before He anoints you for service.
Wrong company can disconnect you from being a useful vessel. You cannot have ungodly friends and expect to have godly manifestations; that would amount to making a mockery of God and God cannot be mocked. Once you keep company with anti – miracle people, they will destroy your anointing. They do not see things the way you do, so, if you keep walking with them, you will soon be blinded to what you claim you have now. “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: But a companion of fools shall be destroyed”. (Proverbs 13:20)
If you want to live as a sign and maintain the presence of God, you must be careful where you stand, with whom you walk and whose counsel you operate with. You can’t walk with wrong people and have right answers. Imagine keeping company with someone who does not celebrate the anointing of your mentor. You are talking about your mentor and he is mocking you, you are praying and he is mocking you; you are studying the word and he is telling you that you are wasting time! That kind of company will destroy your relationship with God. So know what you want and disconnect “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupts good manners” (I Corinthians 15:33).
