Ernest Amesi The Vessel and The Anointing “And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles and be spilled and the bottle shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles and both are preserved”. (Luke 5:36 – 38). New wine represents the anointing of the Holy Spirit and (vessel) wine bottle is the saints. When a man pours new wine into old wine skin, the old wine bottle breaks because the new wine is still fermenting and increasing in volume but the old wine bottle has reached its elastic limit. So, while the new win in the old bottle keeps expanding, the wine bottle can expound no further and therefore breaks and both the bottle and wine are lost.
